Sean Kovacs, President and Managing Director, and CFO Kelly Flynn of KovatechCNC, spent a week this past October at the factory meeting with Gunther Braschler, Sales Export Manager and Beatrix Brunner, Managing Director of Paul OTT to really understand the company's philosophy and take a close look at how the machines are built and watch the machines in action. To say the least we were formidably impressed not only by the people at OTT but the performance of the machines which was eye opening and several times left Sean laughing and shaking his head in disbelief. "In the 25 years I've been in this business, Ive not yet seen anything like this".
OTT sets itself apart by building their machines with nonproprietary components like PLC's, pneumatics and motor drives. If you need online service directly at the machine, their subscription is free for the entire life of the machine, period.
OTT is a family-oriented company and treat the customers and dealers as part of that extended family. This was felt and demonstrated during our visit as we had the opportunity to speak to both groups of people who came from as far as Australia for the official opening of their newly minted showroom, complete with machine demonstrations, festivities and their wonderful Austrian hospitality.
